Yugi Muto is a character in the manga Yu-Gi-Oh! created by Kazuki Takahashi. He is also the main character of the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! produced by Toei Animation and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters produced by Gallop.
The main character of the original Yu-Gi-Oh series. He is an ordinary high school student who likes (and is good at) playing various games (after all, "Yugi" means "game" in Japanese).
Due to his short stature and cowardly personality, he is often bullied and blackmailed by delinquent teenagers in the school. Owns a fragmented box with the Millennium Puzzle, and later learns that after completing this puzzle, he can fulfill his wish of "a good friend".
His skill at playing games is very high, but he always lacks courage and action, and gradually grows up in the process of fighting together with Yami Yugi.
It took eight years for him to complete the puzzle, and get his wish.
Later, with his alter ego living in the Millennium Puzzle, he participated in many competitions together and won the championship, and earned the title of "the strongest duelist in history".
