Kuromi (Japanese: クロミ) is the protagonist of the animated series Kuromi's Pretty Journey created by Sanrio and a character in Onegai My Melody. It is also one of Sanrio's characters.
Introduction
Kuromi is a character image of Sanrio, based on a devil and a rabbit, and was designed by Kumiko Kobayashi in 2005. She is a villain in the anime Onegai My Melody.
The short animation Kuromi's Pretty Journey with Kuromi as the protagonist premiered on February 17, 2023. The animation tells the story of Kuromi traveling around the world in order to follow her sister's footsteps.
Name origin
"Kuro" (くろ) means black. That's her favorite color. It means "black beauty".
Experience
In the animation, she and Melody were classmates. Because she was often unintentionally bullied by Melody when she was a child, she later turned against her and regarded Melody as an enemy, and wrote all the ways she was hurt by Melody in " "Kuromi Notes". But the naive Melody still regarded him as a friend.
She was imprisoned for pranks, and later escaped from prison to the human world. She is a wanted criminal in Maryland.
I like handsome boys (such as Keiichi Hiiragi) very much, and she has fantasized about marrying Keiichi many times.
She is the leader of Kuromi's 5.
She has a subordinate named Baku, who is based on the dream-eating tapir. Since he can fly, he also serves as Kuromi's personal vehicle.
Kuromi was convicted of extreme mischief in Maryland, often deliberately teasing Melody, worrying her parents, picking flowers and plants in the palace garden, riding a tricycle on the street, and stealing a large amount of bread from the palace. She was sentenced to the introspection room (i.e. prison), but later escaped to the human world, so she was a wanted criminal in Maryland.
